Muscle activity and estimated force
Colour = activation. Bars/values = estimated force in N. Group forces are sums of documented OpenSim actuator columns; activation is their arithmetic mean.
Group composition and aggregation
Triceps surae = gastroc + soleus; Hamstrings = hamstrings + bifemsh; Iliopsoas = iliopsoas; Quadriceps = rect_fem + vasti; Tibialis anterior = tib_ant; Gluteus maximus = glut_max. Force is sum (N), activation is mean (%), independently for each side. Static Optimization produces model estimates, not direct muscle-force measurements.
